Body Positive Cheshire and North Wales works with you to advise and develop services with the interests of sexual minorities, people living with HIV and sexual health needs at the core of service evaluation and design.
We strongly believe that evidence based behaviour change interventionism is key to achieve sustainable, accountable and scalable health promotion outcomes. We use peer reviewed research and strong relationships with our service users and funders to ensure that putting theory into practise is practical, acceptable and effective.
We have a portfolio of further education outreach sites, clinics, public sex outreach and to improve sexual health and emotional well-being outcomes in young people, people living with or affected by HIV, at risk groups, sexual minorities and staff providing drop-in services and complimentary education package. This means that service users have the best chance of acting on the health information they receive, supported by our health promotion and HIV social care team.
Health improvement and behaviour change interventions utilise a variety of styles from direct one-to-one and group work to remote work and publicity campaigning on key health issues where a population may be harder to reach. Here is a sample of a larger presentation for men who have sex with men in saunas to complement the existing outreach stand. This allows service users to receive information and get access to services outside of outreach times.
