Why we need you
We rely on money raised to fund our counselling service, run our groups and deliver all of the support services that we offer. Please donate whatever you can and help us make a difference.
The LGBT+ community are more likely to have significant mental health issues, less likely to access preventative health services, and more likely to be lonely and isolated. As LGBT+ people age, they become more dependent on family (partners and adult children) to help them with day to day tasks, adapting to new technologies and defending their rights as older people. Isolation experienced by LGBT+ people reduces their ability to get help or defend their rights. We have been supporting LGBT+ people in the area for over 25 years and our service users are at the heart of everything we do.

‘I only came into my trans existence on the fifteenth of December last year after quite a lot of not knowing where I was, where I was going. For about a year prior to that, I had been very unhappy with my life.’
