Join the Network
The Silver Rainbows Network creates safe spaces for people to be themselves and feel comfortable when opening up. Members range from those who have been out and active in the LGBT+ communities for decades and those who are discovering themselves in their 70s and 80s.
Many older people feel separate from the younger LGBT+ ‘scene’ and need activities to enjoy with friends. There is a shared sense of history and experience which creates a bond between members of all sexualities and gender identities.
Advice & Support
Anyone needing individual support can get 1:1 services from our highly experienced staff. We off face-to-face support, telephone contact and peer mentoring. Our counselling service specialises in providing support to the LGBT+ communities so we can match someone with a counsellor that is best suited to them.
We also provide support and information for friends and family of older LGBT+ people needing help.
Tea and Tattle
These are our regular get togethers to meet up for a chat about what’s going on and anything that is concerning us. They are free to attend and including refreshments and good company. They are held in a variety of accessible venues across the county. See what’s on for details.
Silver Strollers
This is our regular walking group for our more active members. The walks are suitable for all abilities and offer the chance to chat while you walk. Walks are in the warmer months of the year at a range of locations across Cheshire. See what’s on for details.
